Who am i
I’m Stav Cohen —
a legal scholar, wounded IDF reservist, and international speaker.
I serve in special forces for over 12 years, fought in two wars, and took part in complex, classified deep-field operations. I was wounded in combat, underwent surgery, recovered, and chose to return. My perspective combines legal expertise in international law with real-world combat experience — shaped by both academic study and operational service.
As the grandson of an Auschwitz survivor, I carry both memory and responsibility. I speak about the moral dilemmas of modern warfare, the legal boundaries Israel upholds even under fire, and the deeper story of a people who still choose restraint over revenge — not out of weakness, but from strength guided by values.
Across the U.S., I’ve led multiple advocacy tours — on campuses, in Jewish and non-Jewish communities, and in leadership forums. I bring something different into the room: the mindset of a soldier, the tools of a jurist, and the voice of someone who’s been there. My talks don’t aim to impress — they aim to move.
To challenge assumptions. To spark something deeper than headlines.
In Israel, I founded two nonprofit initiatives: one delivers food to Holocaust survivors, the other provides personal sports training for individuals with autism. Together, they mobilize hundreds of volunteers — including dozens of scholarship-supported students and many fellow veterans. These projects reflect the same principle that drives everything I do: turning values into action.
This is where story meets substance. And I’m here to share it.
